Heavenly Boots

So it’s getting a bit colder, the leaves are falling and it’s raining. It’s autumn and it’s beautiful. But the most important thing this kind of year is to make sure to keep warm and dry to avoid getting sick. And the most important thing to do that is some nice boots. So I went today and bought boots. Nice boots. Maitreya Gold boots. Maitreya Gold Shearling Boots. In black. And I love them. I didn’t go to some autumn sim to test them – I went to my favorite sim, World’s End Garden. It’s just so beautiful…

Welcome Autumn.

So maybe I’m a little late with this, but I’m slowly getting ready to welcome in Autumn. So here’s my first autumn look – sort of autumn look anyway.

For some reason, SL is just so so so so slow today. I’ve actually given up shopping after just standing around looking at grey squares for ages. So now, I’m just going to call it a night, go to bed, read Wolf Hall and pout a bit.

First day back …

What a beautiful dress this is. And the hair – and shoes. Really don’t have much more to say today – first day of the week, first day back from vacation – how can I be so very tired? Maybe I should have just posted a blogpost featuring a bed and some PJs. Or maybe I shouldn’t have stayed up late last night, finishing my book … No matter what, this pretty dress is what I was in the mood to wear today.

Vacation is over

So today is the last day of the vacation. Well, it is for my boyfriend and our eldest daughter – I’m still on maternity leave and the baby is staying home with her momma for another month. But still – it’s back to business as usual, back to early mornings, picking up Ronja from kindergarden, all the usual stuff we do when not on vacation. And although it’s a bit sad, it’s also nice – wow, two very small kids are a lot of work! ;-P So hopefully it’s also means back to Second Life, back to more regular blogging and not just shopping without unpacking or ordering anything.

So I’m wearing the most casual outfit I could imagine – a nice top and a pair of simple shorts and some comfortable flats. And amazing hair from Exile! Exile is still having the greatest hair coming out week after week. Besides – remember that Grixdale is closing by the end of this month so go shop!

It’s so hooooooooot …

… and I’m outside enjoying it, playing with the kids, going on day trips, visiting friends and family – and just playing RL …

But tonight, my bf wanted to check out Fantasy Football so instead of reading and watching House, we both got online – and I so enjoyed spending some time back in SL again. I wanted to get some sorting done – my inventory is a huge mess again, so cluttered – but of course, I hardly did anything. I unpacked a couple of boxes – and then I went to The Dressing Room, to Fashionable Late, to League, Boho Hobo and a couple of other places and bought more stuff … It’s not like I need anything when I don’t spend more time in SL than I do at the moment – but SL shopping is so hard to resist while SL inventory cleaning is the easiest thing in the world to resist. At least, I’m almost ready to do anything else than sit down and get sorting. So here I am, relaxing on some rather new lounges from Zoe’s Garden (at least I think they’re rather new – I’ve kind of lost track of everything while away), wearing a bikini I bought a while ago but never put on.

LOTD … sort of …

Well, life is busy, first life that is. This is vacation time. We’ve been re-decoration the children’s rooms (one with owls, one with princesses) and it was really hard because we didn’t have a lot of time to do it in when the kids were away on a short holiday. Now we’re all back together and because of my back (and because of the children’s ages), we’ve decided we’re not going away this year, just going on small day trips to zoos, castles and visiting friends and family. Still, it does take a lot of time away from SL – and although I miss it, I really enjoy being out in the real world, being able to walk around and jump in trampolines. Amazing!

But no matter what, SL fashion is still fascinating (!). I put together this look a couple of days ago but didn’t get around to take pictures of it until today.
