So maybe I’m a little late with this, but I’m slowly getting ready to welcome in Autumn. So here’s my first autumn look – sort of autumn look anyway.

For some reason, SL is just so so so so slow today. I’ve actually given up shopping after just standing around looking at grey squares for ages. So now, I’m just going to call it a night, go to bed, read Wolf Hall and pout a bit.

First day back …

What a beautiful dress this is. And the hair – and shoes. Really don’t have much more to say today – first day of the week, first day back from vacation – how can I be so very tired? Maybe I should have just posted a blogpost featuring a bed and some PJs. Or maybe I shouldn’t have stayed up late last night, finishing my book … No matter what, this pretty dress is what I was in the mood to wear today.

Vacation is over

So today is the last day of the vacation. Well, it is for my boyfriend and our eldest daughter – I’m still on maternity leave and the baby is staying home with her momma for another month. But still – it’s back to business as usual, back to early mornings, picking up Ronja from kindergarden, all the usual stuff we do when not on vacation. And although it’s a bit sad, it’s also nice – wow, two very small kids are a lot of work! ;-P So hopefully it’s also means back to Second Life, back to more regular blogging and not just shopping without unpacking or ordering anything.

So I’m wearing the most casual outfit I could imagine – a nice top and a pair of simple shorts and some comfortable flats. And amazing hair from Exile! Exile is still having the greatest hair coming out week after week. Besides – remember that Grixdale is closing by the end of this month so go shop!

LOTD … sort of …

Well, life is busy, first life that is. This is vacation time. We’ve been re-decoration the children’s rooms (one with owls, one with princesses) and it was really hard because we didn’t have a lot of time to do it in when the kids were away on a short holiday. Now we’re all back together and because of my back (and because of the children’s ages), we’ve decided we’re not going away this year, just going on small day trips to zoos, castles and visiting friends and family. Still, it does take a lot of time away from SL – and although I miss it, I really enjoy being out in the real world, being able to walk around and jump in trampolines. Amazing!

But no matter what, SL fashion is still fascinating (!). I put together this look a couple of days ago but didn’t get around to take pictures of it until today.

Hair Fair 2011

So this is it – Hair Fair 2011 opens today and I got a chance to go yesterday and now I want to share some of what I found.

Hair Fair 2011 consists of 4 sims. It’s keept in a beach theme with small huts, a nice boardwalk etc.

I feel like I’ve blogged a lot of Exile and Truth recently so I’m looking forward to discovering new hair stores at this year’s fair! But … what was the first hair I bought? Two hairs from Exile … And I didn’t even plan to – it was just the first store I walked into with hair I had to have.

Exile – HollieRae (Cranberry – roots)

A new store for me was Sugar Smack – got two great hairs from that store. Also, Illusory looks to have some really great hairs. Got two from that store as well … I think Hair Fair is getting rather expensive for me – but well, I guess that’s just as it’s supposed to be.

Sugarsmack – Bunni (Red Delicious)

Illusory – Yew (Passion)

Stinalina trots on. Buys a hair from Red Mint. Stops at Tekuteku.

Tekuteku presents three hairs – I love all three. Only issue is, they don’t have a decent red … Bought two of them anyway …

TEKUTEKU – float (firebrick)

So my total ended up being 13 hairs – and two bandanas. There really is a reason I shouldn’t be allowed to walk these fairs on my own! And … I still have all the demos from the Hair Fair Demo group to go through … just in case I missed something …! I didn’t make it all the way either – Hair Fair is huuuuuge!

LeLutka – Shoop (FireTop)

Hair Fair is not just about getting all the new great styles, discovering hair stores you didn’t know and just shopping, shopping, shopping. Hair Fair actually supports Wigs for Kids and this year, every hair style at Hair Fair 2011 are donation items so no matter what you buy, you support the cause. Remember also Bandana Day on July 15th where we remover our hair and wear bandanas – all bandanas are just 50L and all proceeds go to Wigs for Kids as well.

As you can see, lots of different hairs – at least one style to fit everyone! And – this is just a tiny tiny tiny little look at what’s being offered at this year’s Hair Fair. Go shop!

In the closet …

Still playing with pose props. This PolyWall from Diesel Works is so very cool – although after taking these pictures, I wanted to take some other pictures with another color wall – and couldn’t get it to change, even though I logged several times and took out a new wall etc. Not sure why … Maybe just SL acting up… Hm … seems like you can only change color when you’re actually posing in it … I’m a bit confused here – especially since I can’t get the back to change color at all … I know this doesn’t sound good but I still love the prop – I think it’s just acting weird for some unknown reason …

And my hair – look at my hair. Isn’t that the coolest? The style is great – and the color is so fun. Quite a change from my usual hair color – but fun!

<3 new stuff

Stinalina sighs.

So when I logged on today, the first thing greeting me was a NC from Fishy Strawberry, telling about new goodies. So of course, I immediately went to the store to see the new stuff. 3 different dresses and a shirt. Needless to say, I had to do some shopping and since I love both the style of Fishy Strawberry and the colors, I walked away with two fatpacks – and I’m probably coming back later for more. Luckily, Fishy Strawberry’s fatpacks are not the most expensive so it’s not the worst place to go and buy fatpacks.

Here we have one of the new dresses – isn’t it gorgeous? It comes in 6 colors and since I bought them all, you’re probably going to see more of this. More newness in my closet is these amazing heels from SLink. I’ve admired them for a while now and well, today I had to have them. And the hair is new from Exile, new at the Dressingroom Blue this week. So much to love right now in SL.

It’s so nice when stuff is so gorgeous that you only have to put on a beautiful dress and some shoes to feel fabulous!

The poses from Thump, I actually got as a ‘payment’ for a ‘model job’. One night, on the Project Themeory group, there was a call for short avatars. I consider myself short so I answered the call – a lot of us did, actually. I wasn’t chosen to be the model for the actual pose sales sign for the store but I was one of many shorties, featured in an awesome shot of all the shorties. Very fun to see so many short avatars when usually, all you see are these tall tall amazones!

Summer is here!

Summer has definitely arrived. It’s so hot here! Not that I’m complaining – with the short summer we usually have, I’m enjoying every second of it. Even though I’m spending most of the day indoors, watching the Wimbledon …!

Good thing then, that I can put on a bikini, spend all day on a beach and relax on a gorgeous raft in Second Life!

The raft is a new offering from Zoe’s Garden. As usual, it has several great reading poses – today, however, I was more in the mood to just relax. And it’s perfect for that whether you want to just lie down with a hand in the water or sit and enjoy the sun – and there’s even couple poses for those so inclined. The raft was part of yesterday’s Moody Monday but with Adele being so busy with the SL Designers Remix event, she haven’t had time to take it down so it’s still available for 55 L$ – but hurry!

What I love the most about SL is to create outfits. To buy pieces from various places and put them together and make something new, an outfit that I love to wear and to look at. Since I’m not much of a builder, that’s how I express my creativity in SL. Sometimes, I get so busy with events and running around looking at everything that I just shop and shop and never get around to wearing it. Here are some of my recent acquired items – two different outfits, although with some of the same in both.

I have an admission to make. I’ve failed miserably at my own Use Your Shoes Challenge. I’ve given up on it and although I’ve only bought the Decoy boots so far, I have spend some time picking up demos for some of the shoes I’ve been pining after so if I know myself right, there will be lots of shoe shopping in the near future.

The Morning After Tanks from SACRED ROSES are a rather new item and very sheer – or just call it see-through. I’m a modest girl so I don’t wear them alone but they’re fabulous for layering. There’s only one thing wrong with them – they only come in jacket layer. The skirts from G Field was just love at first sight when I saw them – I knew I had to have them in these two colors. They’re amazing! And what’s up with Exile lately? The most amazing hair is released week after week right now!
